Your arrival with…

…the bike

  • You will find bicycle parking facilities in front of the building.

…the car

  • Please enter „Otto-Berndt-Str. 2, 64287 Darmstadt” as the destination address for the navigation device.
  • From the motorway A5/A67, exit Darmstadt-Mitte, direction Stadtmitte. Turn right at the second traffic light (direction Heidelberg). Via Berliner Allee, Groß-Gerauer Weg, Eschollbrücker Straße to Heinrichstraße. From Heinrichstraße follow the signs TU-Lichtwiese.

…the taxi

  • Say „Otto-Berndt-Str. 2, 64287 Darmstadt“ as your destination address. The journey takes about 15 minutes from Darmstadt central station, about 30 minutes from Frankfurt Airport and about 40 minutes from Frankfurt central station.

…public transport…

  • The TU-Lichtwiese campus is easily accessible by public transport through two stops (both a bus and a tram stop, as well as a train station).
  • Buses and trams stop at “TU Lichtwiese/Campus” station, trains at “Darmstadt TU-Lichtwiese”.
  • To search for both bus, trams and train connections, please enter the stop “Darmstadt TU-Lichtwiese” on www.bahn.de or www.rmv.de as your destination.
  • Take the tram line 2 in the direction of “TU Lichtwiese”. The final stop is “TU Lichtwiese/Campus”. The journey takes about 18 minutes.
  • There are two routes to choose from:

    • (1) Odenwaldbahn (VIAS):
      Direct connection to the railway station “Darmstadt TU-Lichtwiese”. Travel time approximately 25 minutes. This connection is offered once every two hours.
    • (2) S-Bahn (S3) / Regionalbahn (RB) to Darmstadt central station:
      Connection to Darmstadt central station. Travel time approximately 38 minutes with the S3 or 19 minutes with the RB. For connections from Darmstadt central station to TU Lichtwiese please follow the instructions above.
  • There are two routes to choose from:

    • (1) Buses of the „AirLiner“ line:
      Direct connection from the airport terminals 1 and 2 to Darmstadt central station. Travel time approximately 25-30 minutes. Use not included in RMV tickets. For connections from Darmstadt central station to TU Lichtwiese, please follow the instructions above. For up-to-date information, please go to the operator's website.
    • (2) S-Bahn / Regionalbahn to Frankfurt central station:
      Go to the regional train station of Frankfurt Airport and take a connection to Frankfurt main station. Travel time approximately 11 minutes. For connections from Frankfurt central station to TU Lichtwiese please follow the instructions above.
